Weddings in Le Marche Region in Italy   
Le Marche, also called The Marches in English, is  situated on the eastern side of central Italy. It runs from the Adriatic  beaches to the mountains of Apennines. Its rich and diverse countryside is home  to quaint villages, beautiful palaces and castles, convents and monasteries,  that are treasured for their architectural and artistic value. The region has a modern train network and has  regular low cost flights departing from many European cities directly to  Ancona airport  (the airport is called Ancona – Falconara ) and the nearby airport  of Pescara in the neighbour Abruzzi region, making  it a very convenient holiday destination. The region is characterized by small  intimate cities like Ancona, Ascoli Piceno and Macerata, Pesaro and Urbino.

Even though these are the main towns,  there are other smaller towns such as Camerino, Jesi, Recanati, Fabriano,  Loreto, Tolentino, San Ginesio, and Matelica which offer equally thrilling  opportunities and sightseeing. Other natural marvels can be found at Monti Sibillini  where impressive mountain sceneries and snow capped peaks provide breathtaking  views. The Frasassi Caves are spectacularly lined with limestone. Other  limestone caves can be found at the Furlo Gorge. Some areas of the region  such as Monte Conero are flat, though, these  are rare exceptions to the hilly landscape which plunge into the sea to create  breathtaking seaside resorts.

The best beach area is near Ancona, the  unspoiled nature reserve of Monte  Conero , known in Italy as the “Riviera  del Conero”. A magical land of azure sea lapping  gently onto beaches of ivory sand.

Le Marche  cuisine has undoubtedly been influenced by its nearest neighbours, taking the  best from Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Umbria and Abruzzi regions. Le Marche is  famous worldwide for wine production : the best known white wine is the dry,  delicate and very pale Verdicchio from the Jesi and Matelica districts.

You can  choose whether you would like to celebrate your wedding in a medieval castle,  in a beautifully preserved former Monastery, an historical Villa, a restored  Medieval Hamlet, a rented holiday Villa on the beach or in the countryside  or a at a romantic restaurant on the beach.
