Paperwork Requirements for Irish Citizens
Irish citizens residing in Ireland and in Northern Ireland must apply online for a “Certificate de Coutume” also called “Certificate of Nulla Osta” on the website of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin.

For Irish citizens not residing in Ireland or in Northern Ireland, they should contact the local Irish Embassy for their Nulla Osta application to marry in Italy.
When your Nulla Osta will be issued by the Irish Embassy – Consular Section in Italy, we will then pick up your Nulla Ostas and file them to the local church or Town Hall authorities.
