Castello Oliveto was built in the 16th century and is located in the heart of the Florentine hills in Chianti region. Many important people have stayed ast this Castle such as Pope Clemente VII and Leone X (Medici family), Pope Paolo III (Farnese family), the king of Italy Vittorio Emanuele III and most recently General Clark Commander of the American 5th Army. The castle has a wide courtyard and a open gallery (the lodge) where wedding receptions are held amnd fit up to 180 people. The Castle’s estate produces excellent white and red wines and also olive oil. Guided tours to the estate and wine cellars can be organized along with wine and olive oil tastings. Also cooking classes can be arranged at Castello Oliveto.

The castle owns a beautiful farm holiday resort with 10 apartments situated in scented hills between olive groves and vineyards distant only 3 km from the Castle. There are eight apartments in a big farmhouse and two apartments in an annex. Each one is independent and has its own front door.
